I had actually never heard of H.P. Lovecraft before. Shame on me. My knowledgeable friend Sarah told me about him, since me and her are serious horror fans!
I found that H.P.Lovecraft was/is a very well respected author and has become a cult figure in the genre of horror stories.
Stephen King has sung his praises many times.
Today I went out and bought a huge 900-odd page volume called 'Necronomicon: The Best Weird Fiction of H.P. Lovecraft.'
It's gonna keep me busy for a while but the reviews have been awesome, so I guess I'm in for a treat. I heard his stories are particularly disturbing, not that hearing that puts me off in any way!
We shall see...........
